Prior to my buying my racecar, it had sustained some damage in a bad wreck. The former owner had been very honest about this and due to the circumstances (already described) I decided to buy it anyway. It was still a good car. But, as things needed to get fixed, it turns out that the amount of bondo became a problem. At some point, you can’t adjust and bend without the bondo cracking and falling off. So, between the June NASA event and the July SCCA event, we decided to replace all body parts forward of the firewall. When we were done, it looked like a new car.
I shoulda taken a picture.
