The last track event of 2015 was a free open test day that SCCA does for it’s members up at Thunderhill. They do it between Christmas and New Year’s, when no one else really wants to rent the track anyway. So, instead of having it sit empty for a day, they give some free track time to SCCA members. It was a fun day. Cold, but if you and your car leave in one piece and undented, it’s hard to have a bad day at the track.
It was also Chris's first Open Test Day. He had never had so much track time, and for FREE no less. He quit early. I couldn't blame him, though I stuck it out to the very end. Yeah, that's me...
