Winter is a slow season for those who are track afflicted. Back East, this is understandable, since the ground is covered with inces to FEET of snow, which makes racing... difficult. So, it's generally a time to work on your car and dream of Spring.
But, not in California. If it's not raining, it's track weather.
Mostly an uneventful day. We were running #13CW (they have many different configurations of the track, and this is #13 - the CW means that they are running it clockwise).
All went well in the morning. Around 11 o'clock, some "street racers" (aka - guys with hot cars that want to drive on the track) showed up to run in the afternoon.
After lunch, I found that I needed to change my brakes. While I was doing that, it turns out that one of the street racers decided to try the track in the CCW direction - that would be counter-clockwise - whilst everyone else was running CW. Exciting times, I'm told, though I wasn't able to personally witness it (thankfully). But, that meant they split the rest of the day into two different run groups - one for the "street racres" and one for the "race-prepped" cars (that's me).
I didn't hear of any other incidents.
